You may remember Brian Kenny’s car from a previous post (Brian Kenny’s 2008 LS3 Head and Cam Car).  Brian decided to do a big brake upgrade and we selected a set of Wilwood brakes to help his stopping effort. He autocrosses the car a lot and needed some better stopping power to help reel in the new found power we added to his car previously with the heads, cam and headers that we installed.

Brian decided on the Wilwood W6A Big Brake Front Brake Kit and the Superlite 4R Big Brake Rear Brake Kit. The fronts are now  a massive 14 1/4 inches in diameter and the rear are now 14 inches. Red calipers were chosen along with slotted rotors. We upgraded the pads to the PolyMatrix Q Street Performance/Racing Pads in the front and rear. To complement the install, we used the Flexline brake line kits on all four corners.

We are eagerly awaiting Brian’s next trip to the track to see how well these bad boys worked out under some hard braking…
